Obituary of Marija Rudman

Rudman, Marija “Mary” It is with heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Mary on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the age of 76. Marija Barbara Rudman (nee Kapusin), beloved wife of the late Jure (George) Rudman (1995). Loving mother of Mary (Ivica Spehar), and George Rudman (Jerrie). Loved and cherished grandmother of Anita, Steven, Brandon, Jamie,(Meaghan) and Janyce. Dear sister of Joe Kapusin (late Anica), Frank Kapusin (Katica). Sister-in-law of Ivan Rudman, Slavica Zugelj (Joze) and Marija Rudman (late Tone). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family in Slovenia, Australia and Canada. Predeceased by her parents Joze Kapusin, Mary (nee Petrusa Draskovic) and step father John Draskovic,and two step sisters Barbara (Al Smith) and Violet, by two brother-in-law Stanko and Joze Rudman (late Stanka) and by her aunt Barbara Penezic (late Luka). Mary’s family wish to thank The Loyalist Retirement Home nurses and staff for their exceptional care of our Mom. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street,St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:30am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to either the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
