Despres, Dolores Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hospice Niagara in St. Catharines on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. In her 88th year, Dolores Margaritte Despres (nee Burke), beloved wife of the late Henry Despres. Loving mother of Donna and her husband Barry Melville and Dan Despres and his wife Karen. Proud Nan of Robyn (Allan), Tina (Brendan) and Danielle. Great Granny of Cole, Carrington and Hunter. Dear sister of Stanley Burke (late Ethel) and Mildred White (Carl). Sister-in-law of Betty Burke (late Arnold), Sally (late Reginald) and Fernand Mallet (late Patsy). Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and family. Predeceased by five sisters Evelyn (Walter), Cecilia (Robert), Annie (Gilbert), Elsie (Weldon) and Patsy (Fernand) and by three brothers Ronald (Doris) , Reginald (Sally) and Arnold (Betty). Dolores’s family wish to thank Dr. Whitty, Dr. Hughes, Care Partners, St. Elizabeth’s, all the staff and caregivers at Hospice Niagara we cannot begin to express our appreciation for the support you gave us and the amazing care you provided to our mother at this very difficult stage. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 2:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Roman Catholic, 230 Lake Street, St. Catharines (905-685-5911) on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara or St. Catharines Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
