Obituary of Muguette Cyr

Cyr, Muguette Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Meadows of Dorchester in Niagara Falls on Friday, April 22, 2016. In her 76th year, Marie Muguette Louise Cyr (nee Brault), loving mother of Jacques (Janet), Andre (Dympna) and Jean (Twyla). Loved Memere of Erica (Neil), Matthew, Noelle, Justin (Juliana), Cassandra (Brett), Trevor (Megan), Jessica, Joseph, Kathryn, Luc, Sarah, Elisha, Shauna (Jordan) and Stephanie (Lindsey). Loving great Memere of Navin, Cora, Sophia, Emily, Linkin and Landon. Dear sister of Rejean, Jean (Paula), Lise (Stephan), Gilles (Marie) and Noel (Diane). Lovingly remembered by sister-in-law and longtime confidante Michelle Baldwin (late Allen). Predeceased by her loving daughter Lisa. We keep strength in the thought that God has reunited mother and daughter in his kingdom. Muguette’s loving and caring ways for her family were extended to others during her years working at West Park Health Centre in St. Catharines. Muguette was strong in her faith and a devoted member of St Mary’s Parish. In her retirement she enjoyed gardening, baking and showering her grandchildren with love and attention. Muguette’s family wish to thank the Meadows of Dorchester staff for their compassionate care and attention. Visitation will be held at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral chapel on Sunday April 24, 2016 at 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 169 St. Paul Cres. St. Catharines (905-682-3843) on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11am. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society (905-687-3914) would be appreciated by the family.
