Obituary of Frances Rita McIntosh

McIntosh, Frances “Rita” It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my mother and best friend Frances “Rita” McIntosh on June 6, 2021 the day before her 96th birthday. Predeceased by her former husband William, sister Patricia, brother-in-law Frank and granddaughter Cindy. Cherished mother of Patricia (Stan), John (Theresa) and Thomas (Julia). Beloved grandmother of Bruce (Leigh), Kelly, Michael, Barbara, and Matthew. Special great Grannie to Connor, Laurel, Damian, Rachael, Renee, Rocco, Owen, Keira and Gracie. She is fondly remembered by niece Brenda, nephews David and Mark and her friends Nancy and Jackie. Rita was a kind and generous person to everyone she knew. She loved horses and enjoyed the racetrack. Her love for dogs was well known and she never met a dog she didn’t love, and they loved her in return. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers at Linhaven Home for the Aged. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
