Later that year he began a second career as a defense contractor in support of a squadron of AV8B Harrier jets. in 1986 Bill's heart was full once again when he met his second wife Anna. They spent many years traveling together, to Timmins and St. Catharines to visit family, to Laughlin Nevada to gamble and their timeshare in Sedona Arizona.
