Obituary of Jannette Duchesne

DUCHESNE, Jannette – Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on December 27, 2022 at the age of 67. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Marie-Paule Duchesne. Loving mother of Catherine Angelopoulos. Dear sister of Doris Adams. Jannette will be dearly missed by her niece Danielle and her nephew Jonathan as well as their families. Jannette was a proud small business owner who made lasting connections with every client she interacted with. She will be fondly remembered for her optimism and how bravely she battled her illness, never letting it dampen her spirit. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the personal support workers of Paramed and St.Elizabeth for their compassionate care, as well as profound appreciation for their nurse Olivia for all of the support and help over Jannette’s lengthy battle. Friends are invited to join the family at the Patrick J Darte Funeral Home, 39 Court Street, St.Catharines (Downtown). Visiting Friday evening from 7pm until 9pm and Saturday from 11am to 1pm. A Funeral Service in Celebration of her Life will take place at the funeral home at 1pm with cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In honour of Jannette’s memory, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region would be appreciated by the family.
