Obituary of Alexander Russell

Russell, Alexander Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 6, 2015 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Beloved husband of May (nee Mitchell), loving dad of Carol (Kent), Sandra (Brian) and Craig (Rita),loving Papa of Alex (Bud), Jake, Aaron and Victoria, great Papa of Hannah. Dear brother of Nancy (Tam). Brother-in-law of Irene (late Bobbie), George (Mary)and Lesley (Mary). Lovingly remembered by his nieces by nephews. Predeceased by brothers John and Bobbie. Alexander was born in Whiflet, Scotland on July 28, 1944. His family wish to thank the compassionate doctors and staff on the Oncology floor and special thanks to Dr. St. Amand in ER. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Thursday October 8, 2015 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11am. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
