KING, Bruce Alan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce on Monday March 18, 2024 at the age of 95 with family by hisside. Loving husband of May King (nee McDiarmid) for 73 wonderful years. Beloved Father of Debbie and Paul. Proud Grandpa to Heather (Thomas), Scott (Emily), Sierra, and doting Great-Grandfather to Oslo. Predeceased by his sister Ruth and his brother Eddie. 

In his youth, Bruce was a semi-pro soccer player and avid fan of the game throughout his life. After relocating to St. Catharines in the mid 60’s Bruce was the inventory control supervisor at TRW, before retiring in 1991. Bruce enjoyed acting as stage manager for the Robert Wood Singers for many years.  But the highlight in Brew’s life was always enjoying his family and friends. 

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be held on Saturday March 23, 2024 at 1:30PM at Garden City Funerals & Cremations, 39 Court Street St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. 

The family wishes to express a sincere gratitude to the staff of Linhaven Long-term Care- Roy Adam’s Centre for all of their care and compassion.
