Buhagiar, Despina Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, December 27, 2014. In her 88th year, Despina Buhagiar (nee Stinis), beloved wife of the late Charles Phillip Buhagiar. Loving mother of Thaddeus (Ted). Dear sister of Peter Stinis and his wife Anne. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five brothers Andy, George, Daniel, Jim and Emanuel and by two sisters Antonia and Theodora. Despina’s family wish to thank the nurses and staff at the Hospital for their attention and care. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 8:30am to 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 67 Church St., St. Catharines (905-684-3964) on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:30am. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
