Obituary of Gaston Alfred Gaboury

Gaston A. Gaboury (April 26, 1926 – December 4, 2020) It is with profound sadness, that his family announces the passing of Gaston, Friday December 4, 2020 at the age of 94. Gaston, son of Wilfred and Alma Gaboury, was born in Cap Rouge, Quebec and was the eldest of three children. Predeceased by his brother Lawrence and his sister Joyce. Upon moving to St. Catharines, he met and married, the love of his life Zita, who predeceased him in 2002. Gaston will be lovingly remembered by his four children and their spouses, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Gisele (Ken) McGowan, Chad (Becky), Christine (Ian), Suzanne (John) Mastrandrea, Michelle (Scott), Jason Philippe (Lori) Gaboury, Brandon, Kayla (Dan), Blair, Loraine (Nick) Parisotto, Jacob and Conner, Great grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, Zachary, Alex, Jamie, Kyla and Max. Gaston was the cornerstone of his family and a role model of courage and perseverance. He lived his life to the very fullest with his family and friends. Gaston was a Veteran in the 22nd Regiment in Sherbrooke, Quebec and Halifax as well as a retiree from General Motors Canada, in St. Catharines. He was a devoted parishioner at Eglise Immaculee- Conception, a proud francophone leader and member of the French Community, in Ontario. Arrangements for Cremation and a private family burial have been entrusted to Patrick J. Darte Funeral Home. At a later date, extended family and friends, will be invited to attend a high mass and a celebration of his life. In memory of his life, donations to the Veteran's Poppy Fund are welcome or to a donation of your choice.
