Obituary of Aristide Tacinelli
Tacinelli, Aristide
In his 80th year, on December 21, surrounded by his loving family, Aristide was called home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and welcomed into the presence of his father
Vincenzo, his mother Teresa (whom he adored), and his brothers Benito, Mario, Hortensio, Giovanni, Aristide (1st) and Aurelio (1st) leaving Bruno (in Italy) and Aurelio (2nd) in London England. He was a blessing from God to his wife Marjie, (in their 55th year of happy marriage) and adored father to his boys Alex (Shelly) and Sebastian (Kristen). A wonderful “papa” to his grandchildren; Jessica (Evan), Alexander (Jen), Juliana and Daniel and an adored great grandpapa to Lucas, Elisa (Ellie) and Guinevere (Ginny). Aristide was a master tailor in Italy, England, Bermuda and Niagara. After many years in the business in St. Catharines, he semi-retired and worked two seasons at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-On-The-Lake. He dressed the actors in his immaculate suits, passing on his tailoring expertise to his dear friend, seamstress, Elaine Redding. He was a member of Club Roma for over 40 years with childhood friends from his hometown of Guardia Sanframondi, Benevento, Italy, and many others. Due to Covid 19 Lockdown, a private family burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Thursday December, 31st, 2020 and at a later date a memorial mass will take place at St. Julia Roman Catholic Church on Glenridge Avenue to celebrate his wonderful life. A live stream will be held on the Patrick Darte Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/patrickdartefh/ on Thursday Dec. 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
