Obituary of Valentine Marie Dembisky

It is with great sadness that the family of Valentine Dembisky announces her passing on March 21, 2021. Val will be lovingly missed by her husband of 23 years, Mike, daughters Sandra, Carol (Joe) and Jo Anne (Steve), step-daughters Lise (Brad) and Patty, grand-children Carrie, Crystal (Jeff), Christopher (Kelsey), Brent (Michelle), Jeffrey and Samantha, step-grandchildren Cassie (Brad), Shawn and Kaylee, great-grandchildren Tyler, Josh, Emma, Kinsley, Carson, Quinten, Liam, Breanna, Kaelyn, Callee and Ashlinn, brother Gerald, brothers-in-law Delbert, Eric (Debbie), Paul, Donnie (Sarah) and Don (Vivian), sisters-in-law Ann (Cecil), Joan (Reg), Ruth (Richard), Betty, Stella and Carol, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends she considered to be family. Too many to list but all held a very special place in Val's heart. Val is predeceased by her parents George and Viola Stuart, husband Lawrence, brother Cecil, sisters Helen and Winnifred, son-in-law Mike, step-sons Bryan and Mick and grand-daughter Carly (Ben). Val was born in Halls Harbour, Nova Scotia on February 14, 1940. She moved to Ontario with her young family in 1970 but her heart has always belonged to her beloved Nova Scotia. She and Mike looked forward to their yearly trips to visit family, staying down at the Harbour where she grew up. Val worked at Stokes Seeds in St. Catharines for many years, where she made some lifelong friends. Val enjoyed gardening, painting and bowling but her favourite thing to do above all others was to spend time with family. She was our star and will always shine bright in our hearts and memories. Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private family visitation and funeral will take place.
