Obituary of William Fernick

Fernick, William “Bill” Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. In his 86th year, William John Fernick, went to be with the Lord. Beloved husband of the late Josephine Fernick (nee Ilc). Loving father of Dennis (Paulette) and Bob (Joanne). Much loved grandpa of Christopher, Amanda, Lauren, Maggie, Carson and Jill. Great Grandpa of Weston and Kesler. Dear brother of Anne Doig and Walter Fernick. Predeceased by his brother Steve Fernick. Fondly remembered by his family members and close friends. Bill and Jo were the proprietors of the Jordan Hotel for sixteen years. Bill was a Director or the Ontario Hotel & Motel Association. Bill was also a proud member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Visitation will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 3pm. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Saturday,March 12, 2016 at 10:30am. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Jordan. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
