Volpatti, Luigina (nee. Cecco) ~ Peacefully at her home in St. Catharines after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday February 28, 2009. In her 71st year. Luigina Volpatti, survived by Armando, loving husband of 50 years. Amazing mother of Mario, Paolo, Joseph, Robert and Maryanne. Cherished grandmother of eight and great grandmother of two. Dear sister of Domenico and Valentino. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel , 39 Court Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday March 3, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent, St. Catharines on Wednesday March 4 at 11am. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7pm. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
