Obituary of Michael Brophy

Brophy, Michael “Mick” Peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday March 3, 2009. In his 56th year, Michael Christopher Brophy, loving husband of Kathy Brophy (nee Hamm). Loving father of David Brophy (Crystal), Claire Brophy (Jamie Johnstone), Dan Creamer (Heide) and Christine Creamer. Loving “Grandpa” of Taiyo and Jaiden. Dear brother of Esther Gilshan and her late husband Hugh, Margaret and her husband Ivan O’Kane and Catherine Rad. Dear brother-in-law of Carol and her husband Andy Carruthers and Marty Hamm and his fiancée Marnie. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and fellow co-workers. Michael will always be remembered for his infectious smile, his sense of humour and his passion for doing it his way. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Friday, March 6, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral prayers to celebrate Michael’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday March 7 at 11am. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon at 3pm. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
