Di Tecco, Beverley ~ It is with the saddest of hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, peacefully at her home in St. Catharines with family by her side on Wednesday March 11, 2009. In her 90th year, Florence Beverley Di Tecco (nee Wadley), beloved wife of the late “Mike” Marino Di Tecco. Left to share their remembrances of her love and devotion are her children Peter (Judy), Don (Marie-France), and Marina (Dennis Horner). Mom was blessed with ten loving grandchildren Christopher (Lucy), John , Jennifer (Carter), Aimee (Ben), Jillian (Shannon), Delphine, Lucas, Melanie, Lesley (Gerry) and Kelly (Brian). Great grandmother of Matthew and Olivia. She also leaves two sisters-in-law , Hazel Di Tecco (late Tony) and Vera Morrison (late Fred). Countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will remember her generous spirit and loving ways. Mom was an active parishioner of St. Denis Church and a lifetime member of the C.W.L. She retired from Reitman’s in 1984 after twenty years. Mom participated in daily Aquafit classes at the YMCA and become family to the many friends she made throughout the many years at the Y. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel , 39 Court Street, St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Friday March 13, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Catholic Church on Saturday morning March 14 at 10am. Interment in Pleasantview Cemetery, Fonthill. Memorial donations to Community Care or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. To all who have shared Mom’s life and brought her joy and laughter, we thank you.
