Obituary of Donald Shea

Shea, Donald ~ Peacefully at the St. Catharines General on Thursday March 12, 2009. In his 82nd year, Donald Vincent Shea, loving husband of Sophie Shea (nee Wszolek). Dear father of Donna Poirier, Colleen Shea, Patrick Shea (Dawn), Susan Darte and Ann (George Kroeker). Loved grandfather of Shawna, Kyle (Melissa), Kimberly, Paul (Andrea), Kristen (John), Caitlin, Matthew, Samantha, Jasmine, Aaron (Jen) and Sarah. Great grandfather of Zara, Kennedy and Ryen. Father-in-law of Bob Poirier, Kathy Shea and Pat Darte. Brother-in-law of Helen Kawula, Jennie (Ben Collini) and Joanne Shea. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Kevin Poirier, a granddaughter Victoria Rose Shea, a sister Helen and a brother Bill. Donald was a past employee of Foster Wheeler Ltd. for over forty years. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Sunday March 15 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, 230 Lake St., St. Catharines on Monday morning March 16, 2009 at 11am. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 2:45pm. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Ducks Unlimited would be appreciated by the family.
