Obituary of Darrell Sorel

Sorel, Darrell Peacefully at Versacare in St. Catharines on Tuesday June 23, 2009. In her 88th year, Darrell Ann Sorel, beloved only child of the late Clifford Sorel and his late wife Ethel (nee Weir). Specially remembered by cousins Claire Thibodeau (nee Weir), Margaret Timmons and Edward Sorel. Darrel will be fondly remembered by her cousins, nieces and nephews. Ms. Sorel served the City of St. Catharines as Deputy Division Registrar and Deputy Issuer of Marriage Licences for over forty-two years retiring in 1984. Ms. Sorel was an ardent golfer and member of the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club for over forty years. Ms. Sorel was a member of the Primrose Senior’s Club at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church and a member of the C.W. L.. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at the Mt. Carmel Residence,St. Catharines on Saturday, June 27, 2009 afternoon at 1pm. Friends will be received in the chapel from 12noon to 1pm. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Mt. Carmel Residence would be appreciated by the family.
