Obituary of Nicol Barnes

Barnes, Nicol “Nicky” ~ Peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital in St. Catharines on Saturday November 28, 2009. In his 76th year, Nicky Barnes, beloved husband and best friend of Margaret Barnes (nee Mill). Loving father of Janice Wilcox, Allison (Trevor Reid) and Lynn (Martin Allan). Loving grandpa of Craig, Nicole, Trevor, Richard, Arran, Kaitlyn, Megan and Gavin. Great grandpa of Dillen. Dear brother of Agnes (Tam Glen) and Helen (Gerry Gracie). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, Sheila and his family in Scotland. Predeceased by two brothers Ian and Peter. Nicky was a member of the Scottish and Irish Clubs and Port Dalhousie Lawn Bowling. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of 2 West at Hotel Dieu Shaver for their kind loving care to Nicky and our family. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St., Catharines (905-685-6584) on Tuesday December 1, 2009 from 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday December 2, 2009 at 11am.
