Obituary of Robert Zahorchak

Zahorchak, Robert Our world says Dovidenia, good bye, to a charismatic man, Robert Anthony Zahorchak who passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the age of 64, after a lengthy and well fought fight with heart disease. Loving husband of Daisy (nee Crandall). Robert is the eldest son of late Michael Zahorchak and his late wife Mary (nee Bak). He is the loving father of Lori(Dana Busse), Tamara, and Elizabeth(Keith Chambers). His grandchildren Ashley, Robert, Michael and Travis dearly love their Dzedo. He is also remembered fondly by his brothers William (Debbie) and Dennis (Shannon) and his sister Jessica (Dan Gryn). Robert was a kind, romantic, intelligent and humorous man who gave of his heart and soul to all that he met and loved to share his thoughts and opinions on life, love and psychology. He was a very creative man who was very talented at drawing and designing ads. That is where he began at his father’s company, and worked his way to President and then Executive C.E.O. of Canadian Odeon Theatre’s Incorporated, running and operating movie theatres across Canada. He was a past member of the Canadian Picture Pioneers. He was also on the Board of Directors and an active volunteer for the Variety Village in Toronto. For the past thirteen years Robert’s love for helping others has been shown day in and day out as he and his wife Daisy have been active Foster Parents, welcoming more than 50 children into their home and lives. Robert was also the President and C.E.O. of Photopreneurs of Canada and founder of Razday Enterprises Inc. Above all else, Robert was a man of principles and of strong character. He treated all with respect and fairness. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a loving family man who lived life to the fullest and was grateful for every day God gave him. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Tuesday evening January 26, 2010 from 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Julia Catholic Church, 251 Glenridge Ave. St. Catharines on Wednesday morning January 27, 2010 at 10:30am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
