Obituary of Virginia Christie

Christie,Virginia Peacefully surrounded by family at Extendicare in St. Catharines on Wednesday February 17, 2010. In her 80th year, Virginia Christie (nee Torrefiel), beloved wife of the late Arthur Christie and the late Graham Wills. Loving mother of Jo Anne Christie (Blaine Tigert) and Marcella (Jim Claridge). Loving Lola of Lauren, Ayden, Lloyd, Cameron, Olivia, Julia, Quinten and Carter. Dear sister of Napoleon Torrefiel, Adelita Ethier and Lourdes Muller-Rusk(late Oscar, late Richard). Sister-in-law of Mercedes Torrefiel (late Eduardo), Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews both in Canada and the Phillippines. Predeceased by her daughter Becky, by two brothers Rudolfo and Eduardo. Virginia’s family wish to express their many thanks to the nurses and staff at Extendicare for their loving care and support. Further thanks to the Hemodialysis Unit at the Hotel Dieu Hospital. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Friday February 19, 2010 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to9pm. Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday February 20, 2010 at 11am. Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
