Obituary of Jozefa Jasiak

JASIAK, Jozefa (Josephine) - Peacefully in her sleep at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Monday, June 21, 2010 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tadeusz (Ted) of 52 years. Dear mother of Maria (Normand Payette) and Helen. Devoted grandmother to Eva, Alex and Eric. Loving aunt to Anna and Godson Andrew and Goddaughter Jane Kinasz. Josephine was born in the town of Vlany, district of Wilno, Poland. Do not stand by my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am the winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the soft autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand by my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die. Friends will be received at the PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (39 Court Street, St. Catharines, 905-685-6584) on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
