Obituary of William Hunt

Hunt, William “Bill” Peacefully at the Great Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls on Tuesday July 27, 2010. In his 92nd year, William Douglas Hunt, beloved husband of the late Catherine Cecilia Hunt (nee Baker). “Favourite uncle” of Lanson Hunt(Karen), Janet (Ray White), Ward Hunt (Ida), John Hunt, Frank Lizzoti (Patricia) Cathy (Stu Warren), Linda (Rob Hay), John Lizzoti (Laurie), Donald Lizzoti (Teri), Gary Lizzoti (Margie), Stephen Culp, Cheryl Castellan and many more nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law of Doreen Baker and Eileen Begy (nee Baker). Predeceased by his sister Margaret Cowan, his brother Lanson Hunt and his nephew Richard. Bill served in the air force during World War II. Bill was an avid tennis player, bowler, a great dancer and a member of the Welland Fifth Wheel Club. Friends are invited to a “Come and Go” at Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Sunday August 1, 2010 from 1 to 3pm. (there will be a small ceremony held in the room Sunday at 1:30pm). Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to either the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Gillian’s Place, P.O. Box 1387, St. Catharines L2R 7J8 would be appreciated by the family.
