Obituary of Joan Turcotte

Turcotte, Leora ‘Joan’ (nee Tillotson) 1929-2011 It is with great sorrow that the family of Joan announces her passing on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Tuffords Nursing Home. Joan bravely dealt and lived with Alzheimers disease for the past years, showing courage and strength, and you can’t forget those GORGEOUS ‘TILLOTSON’ BLUE EYES! Joan was the loving and devoted wife of Irvin, and she leaves behind a legacy of love with her children, son Brian (predeceased in 2009) and his wife, Susanne; daughter Cheryl and her husband Carl; plus four grandsons: Chad, and his wife Jenn; Cameron and his girlfriend Amy; Pierce: and Tyler. She is also survived by her sister Ruth. Predeceased by brothers Hyman and Bruce and sister Phyllis. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria on Saturday January 15, 2011 at 1pm. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Alzheimers Society of Niagara. “We miss her laughter, her hugs and kisses. She made our house a home. A home full of love. She was a wonderful wife, mother and Nana. God has you in his keeping-we have you in our hearts.”
