Obituary of Ken Senko

Senko, Ken Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, May 7, 2011. In his 59th year, Kenneth Stephen Senko,cherished son of the late Steve and the late Gertrude (nee Hoffman). Dear cousin of Stan, Ed, Troy and Trevor and their families. Dear nephew of Joseph Hoffman (Bev) and Sharon Hoffman. Dear friend of Tom Hopkins (Linda). Predeceased by his Uncle Fred (“Jim”) Hoffman and his Aunt Mary Ellen Kurek (Uncle Frank). Kenny was a fine athlete in his time, excelling at handball. An accomplished musician on the guitar and banjo, Kenny played with several bands throughout Niagara. He spent many years with the Walter Ostanek Band and can still be heard on various recordings. Ken was a retired Canada Post letter carrier. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Catholic Church, 230 Lake Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday morning May 11, 2011 at 11am. The Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Suite 1500 – 2235 Sheppard Ave., E., Toronto L2J 5B5 would be appreciated by the family.
