Smith, Joyce ~ Peacefully at the Niagara Hospice in St. Catharines on Monday, December 5, 2011. In her 81st year, Joyce Smith (nee Oglanby). Beloved wife of William Smith. Loving mother of William, Esther (Mike Gallicchio), Lilian (Rick Stayzer) and Christopher (Michelle). Loved grandmother of Pamela, Rachel (Steve), Melissa (Marco), Michael (Sarah), Andrew, Mathew, Devon (D.J.), Isaac and Erin. Great grandmother of Dante, Ethan, Nevan, Sevana, Valetina, Hayden, Athena and Aubrey. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Irving and a grandson Shaun. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Thursday December 8, 2011 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11am. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 3pm. The Rite of committal to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Ontario Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
