So sad to hear this news. We were planning a trip this month your way. Always loved to stop in at Aunt Laura's house for a visit. Had a nice phone conversation with her not long ago. Took her a bit to know who I was when I said it was her favourite niece. She's up there doing the polka with grandma and her brothers and sisters. Will miss her laugh. xo

She was my Aunt Laura, my mother’s youngest sibling and the fun one of the family. She made Christmas and Easter celebrations so feastive at Grandma Sowchuck’s, playing records 1st the traditional polka tunes for the adults to dance to, then rock n’roll for all us eight kids to enjoy. In the summer she would take a carload of us to Port Dalhousie for the day. Later when she had Laurie & Pat she would take us all over to the US to Fantasy Island. She taught me how to be a great aunt, we were lucky to have her as long as we did. She was a terrific lady.
